Vocalist, Laura Anglade & Her Quartet

“Laura has studied all the great vocal stylists of the last century. And yet she imitates no one. Her pure tone, sparing use of vibrato, and total lack of affectation are almost startling when you first hear her, because you feel convinced that no singer has ever been so absolutely honest with you.”

- DAVID NOEL EDWARDS, The Berkshire Edge

Laura brings clarity and depth to interpretations shaped by the legendary voices of Sarah Vaughan, Ella Fitzgerald, Shirley Horn, Carmen McRae, Michel Legrand and Barbra Streisand, among others.

Originally from the enchanting village of Brousse-le-Château in the south of France, Laura’s performances are a reflection of her roots — rich in simplicity, a deep appreciation for the past and finding wonder in ordinary moments.

Her artistry has brought her to renowned stages including Paris' Olympia, London’s Royal Festival Hall, New York's Town Hall, and the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal.

An international touring artist, she has headlined jazz festivals across Canada, the US, and Europe, captivating audiences through her innate storytelling. Her hallmark is a conversational style that bridges the gap between singer and listener, making each performance feel deeply personal.

Laura’s upcoming third album, Get Out of Town (Nettwerk Music Group), is set for release on May 23, 2025. Her second album, Venez Donc Chez Moi (2022)—a duo collaboration with guitarist Sam Kirmayer—earned a Juno nomination and widespread critical acclaim. In 2023, she was awarded the Prix Opus for Jazz Concert of the Year. She has also opened for acclaimed artists Melody Gardot and Gregory Porter.

Laura currently resides in New York City.
She will be performing across Europe, the UK, and Mexico this spring and summer of 2025.
